Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multi-cultural family. She was born in South London. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. She grew on an estate in South London community estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art was where she received an acting BA. While attending the academy, she appeared in numerous performances on stage, such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the part of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. The film's success has led her to be cast in Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. Later, she appeared in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside playing the character of Ollie. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi, the lead role in ITV2's drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also a part of the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. She was also as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes for The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who had played a regular role in the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show following a guest appearance in the first episode of the season's new episode. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He was also a part of the cast alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley grew in arenas or baseball parks because her four athletic brothers all played baseball, hockey, and both in the summer and winter. Ashley could not walk but could dance. As a result, at the age of 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance at this age. Ashley continued to compete throughout high school with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. The big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the title "top Soloist".
