Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue An. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She received a BA from Brown University in African-American Studies. The Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been actively involved in theater, film, as well as television. She started her career as an actress in theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the best Actress. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway show that Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise her most well-known roles are performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her part as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
